Project description

Network creation and international cooperation in educational projects, including using of modern communication technologies in educational sphere, informational management in educational activity, trainings and civic education through NGOs etc - there are topics for experience transmission from Scandinavian and Baltic trainers to Russian (and to other side) in expected framework of exchange activity. Besides, by results of several trainings and special competition of own training programs between  participants, will be choosed number of participants for 1-2 weeks study visits to Adult education institutions in Scandinavia, Britain, Baltic. During this period all training results and materials will be translated and publishing methodical bulletin (+ site) for propaganda network activity and for the lifelong learning approach in case of new resource for society. Planning to circulate this bulletin by NGOs networks, governmental, business and other institutions of Adult education in odder to create a big Network for international, interregional cooperation and social partnership between Adult educational institutions and authorities (to lobby creation of same adult education legislation). For that until the end of May we planning to organize an International Adult Education methodological Conference in Saint-Petersburg.

Project planning for 2 years, starting from 2nd part of 2002 (pre-project period is going from December, 2001)       

Central objectives

The project’s general aim is designed to help develop a new approach to the theory and practices of Adult education structures and other society educational organizations administration or, more specifically, to training of NGO’s and education managers for a changing social and educational environment, promote role of adult education in modernisation, democratisation, civil society development and capacity building. To create, by welding Russian, Baltic, Scandinavian expertise, a multilevel system model for training and retraining managers of education, civil society organization's managers, elaborate methodological materials, establish current activ Network between countries and all interested sides.

Expected benefits

We looking forward to create “Adult education methodological Network” in Barents regions of Russia (and later for all Russia) and Scandinavian and Baltic States for more long-term co-operation, informational exchange, local transmission of experience and cooperation in promotion of common objectives.

Created on our trainings well prepared professionals by organizing/holding together pilot training courses for civil society educational organization’s staff will continue to train other clients in their regions using out methodology and capacity of Adult education regional community and based on the life-long learning aspect.

Every year in spring we are planning to organize an International Adult Education Methodological Conference in Saint-Petersburg, inviting participants from Scandinavia, Britain and Baltic to be a key speakers as well as create long-term and sustainable platform for knowlege and methodology exchange, duscussions etc.
