Nowadays
there are a lot different spatial planning information
systems including Internet/intranet systems. They are
based on different means of input and access to
information (maps, documents, data). Developing of
open unified standard of input and access to spatial
planning information systems will enable data exchange
between information systems based on that unified
standard. This will lead to developing of common
information society of the North regions.
The project is supposed to fulfil following tasks:
-
benchmarking
of existing standards of interexchange of
information (maps, documents, data) between
Internet/intranet spatial planning information
systems;
-
discussion
and developing of open unified standard of
interexchange;
-
developing
a pilot spatial planning information system based
on unified standard;
-
popularisation
and promotion of developed standard.
